Acupressure

Home > Acupressure

Acupressure uses the acupuncture points and meridians taught in traditional Chinese medicine and developed over centuries. Acupressure therapy uses the fingers, elbow or other implement to apply pressure of varying degrees to a targeted area of the body. By applying pressure to specific active points, the body’s natural curative abilities are stimulated and the life force or Chi energy is allowed to flow more freely. Acupressure relieves muscle tension, increases blood circulation and promotes natural energy flow within the body.

Acupressure is used in a variety of practices and modalities such as Reiki, Shiatsu, Reflexology and others. Acupressure has been shown to be effective in treating a wide range of physical, mental and emotional ailments.
