Based on the discoveries of F. Matthias Alexander (1869-1955), the Alexander Technique is a method of teaching your muscles to release tension that has built up over a lifetime. Through a focused awareness of your body’s balance, posture, range of motion and coordination, your muscles are able to “unlearn” and release bad habits. The Alexander Technique teaches a person how to perform their daily activities in a way that eliminates unnecessary tension.
