Applied Kinesiology
Applied Kinesiology (AK) is a technique that uses muscular feedback to diagnose whether a body is functioning properly. Applied Kinesiology incorporates both physical and neurological assessment to determine the best form of physical therapy for a particular patient. Often associated with chiropractic therapies, Applied Kinesiology is actually used to determine internal disorders or chemical imbalances using muscular function testing. This modality was invented in the 1960’s by George Goodheart, who conducted studies using muscle feedback and associating the results with clinical diagnosis of his patients.
