Body-mind Centering

Home > Body-mind Centering

Body-mind Centering is an approach to healing that integrates anatomical, physiological, psychophysical and developmental principles. Body-mind Centering is an experiential study and a way of approaching life, designed to help a person understand how the mind and body are expressed through one another. The study of Body-mind Centering includes both cognitive and experiential learning of the body systems.

Body-mind Centering was developed by Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, a renowned movement therapist. She founded an institute in El Sobrante, California in 1973, dedicated to teaching and promoting the “on-going, experiential journey into the alive and changing territory of the body”.
