Deep Tissue Massage

Home > Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a technique similar to Deep Tissue Integration. In Deep Tissue Massage, special attention is paid to areas of pain and muscle or connective tissue restriction. A therapist may use hands, fingers, arms and elbows to penetrate muscle groups and release the myofascial restrictions being held. Deep Tissue Massage techniques vary slightly from Deep Tissue Integration, in that the therapist is typically interested in working on a particular problem area and muscle group. Usually there is no regimen or series of treatments in Deep Tissue Massage.

Like other structural and deeply penetrating techniques, this is not a particularly relaxing massage at the time of receiving, however many clients prefer the overall release of long held muscle tension that this therapy provides.
