Jin Shin Do Bodymind Acupressure is a combination technique that combines the principles of ancient Chinese medicine with a traditionally Japanese application using the fingers. Using a gentle yet firm finger technique, a Jin Shin Do Bodymind Acupressure therapist will apply a consistent pressure, while holding two acupoints concurrently. Designed to release both mental and physical stress and tension, Jin Shin Do Bodymind Acupressure also uses breathing techniques and a form of yoga to facilitate inner awareness and tranquility.

This technique was developed by Iona Teequarden to teach the “wondrous channels” of Qi (Chi) energy flow. Jin Shin Do Bodymind Acupressure works on the principle that when body and mind are in balance with each other, the energy of life flows more smoothly and the spirit has the capacity for joy.
